Lecture: ‘Kickstart Your Creativity’
Regardless of your skill level, style, or the medium you choose to work in, you’ll benefit from this lecture. You’ll laugh, you might cry, and you’ll realize how simple it really is to find your creative self. You’ll be on your way before you know it. (Includes a set of hands on exercises designed to help you ‘Kickstart Your Creativity’.)
Lecture: 'The Time of Your Life!' 'The time of your life' - This phrase is commonly used to describe an event that stands out - one of the best times you've ever had. A great vacation, a night on the town, quality time spent with family and friends. Memorable events. This is a good thing! 'The time of your life' can also be taken in the literal sense - the time of your life. Emphasis on time. What IS the time of your life? Designed as a follow-up for the 'Kickstart Your Creativity' lecture, I delve deeper into some of the issues that keep us from our creativity. In 'Kickstart Your Creativity', you reconnected with your creative self. Now the problem seems to be time. You feel frustrated because you just can't seem to get around to doing the things you want to do, because you're too busy doing the things you have to do. This lecture will help you get onto the path of balancing the priorities in your life. Using tricks and tools we can all relate to, I share my personal experience of fitting MY life into my LIFE. If you find yourself saying or thinking 'I'd love to....(fill in the blank), but I don't have the time', TAKE the time to hear this lecture. It could just lead you to having 'The Time of Your Life!'
Trunk Show n’ Tell: ‘Accidental Artist’ In this lecture I share my story of how I
(accidentally) came to be a quilt designer and teacher. Meet my creations ‘in
person’ one by one, as I share the story of how each one came to be. I’ll
elaborate on the techniques used in them, how the creative process unfolded, and
the inspiration behind each. This always proves to be an entertaining dialogue.
